Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP)
Better Family Life's Teenage Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program is an exciting initiative sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Office of Adolescent Health.

The goal of this program is to reduce teen pregnancies and the number of sexually transmitted diseases and infections among youth in the St. Louis area by focusing on the development of attitudes and skills.

The TPP program uses the Reducing the Risk (RTR) curriculum for the high schools and Promoting Health among Teens (PHAT) for the middle schools.

Both curriculums use a research – proven, abstinence first approach to pregnancy and disease prevention, which addresses skills such as risk assessment, communication, decision making, planning, refusal strategies and delaying tactics.
