"PEACE in the STREETS during FAMILY WEEK"

Established 1983, Family Week (August 6 - 14, 2011) is an annual celebration that focuses on family unity, while promoting the importance of peace and community reintegration. This week-long summer celebration includes recreational and educational events and activities held throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area in family-friendly environments. As in years past, the 2011 celebration is committed to reinforcing BFL's mission to stop violence through the "PEACE in the STREETS" campaign, which aims to reshape the attitudes and behaviors of area residents to be empowered advocates that reclaim their communities while tackling unwanted criminal activity.

Vendor and Advertising Opportunities
BFL invites local organizations to promote their goods and services at the Art and Soul Café and PeaceFest events. For more information or to register, contact Ms. LaKita Walker, vendor liaison, at (314) 746-0750 or via email at lwalker@betterfamilylife.org. The fee per vendor booth is $50 (limited space available).

Performance and Showcase Opportunities If you are interested in performing before thousands of excited BFL supporters, please contact Alerica Anderson, Family Week creative director, at 314-229-1996 or via email at aanderson@betterfamilylife.org. Artist registration ends Saturday, July 31.
