On June 29, 2005, Better Family Life began the process of turning an over 15 year dream into reality with the purchase of the former Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School, 5415 Page Boulevard, St. Louis. The building is now the future home of the Better Family Life Cultural, Educational and Business Center.

Better Family Life estimates a $4.5 million renovation plan for the new Better Family Life Cultural, Educational and Business Center. The Cultural Center will be designed to express and display the full, rich and diverse elements of the cultures of peoples of Africa and the African Diaspora. There will be classes focusing on history, art, culture and dance. Two art galleries will reside in The Cultural Center. The Center will also produce productive citizens of the St. Louis community through GED classes and skill based job training. BFL will provide housing down payment assistance programs, business related seminars and motivational trainings through the Cultural Center & Museum. Hosting opportunities for cultural and artistic events, which will have regional, national, and international appeal and significance, will also be provided.
