POSITION SUMMARY
Delivers effective Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program instruction using RTR and PHAT curriculum and provide group and TPP education services for participants and families of the TPP Education Program. Assist in coordinating parent-child connectedness program, coordinating special events and positive youth activities: skits and role plays, role model presentations, end-of-program recognition events, youth leadership team, community service, and youth rally. Services will include: encouraging parental involvement, facilitation of parent-child sessions, distribution of a TPP education newsletter, guest speakers, and providing resources and referrals as needed. Assist Lead Abstinence Educator in Conduct home visits on an as needed basis. Build and maintain professional working relationships with other team members, school personnel and community service providers. Educator will also work closely with our After School Programs.
Job Functions
- Effectively facilitate curriculums reinforcing the TPP message using age appropriate language and instruction strategies.
- Identify schools, churches and/or or community based organizations programming for youth 12-18 years of age.
- Enter enrollment forms and classroom attendance and other statistics in a timely manner as required.
- Attend scheduled meetings deemed necessary by the Project Director.
- Follow all requirements and guidelines of TPP program funder under guidance of supervisors.
